I applied and am now part of the program starting in March! That was my best trip to Israel (of several more conventional ones). Anyone of any ability, if at all interested in seeing Israel by bike, go4it! We thought we'd have to forgo this summer as we will be vacationing in Israel in early July in celebration of our son's Bar Mitzvah. But now you're making me think that we could actually incorporate a few days of bike touring into our plans, which could be such a great Bar Mitzvah activity. Do you have suggestions for an itinerary that would be suitable for July? we are a fit family and used to biking a variety of terrains but we are not looking to scale mountains and have a rather leisurely attitude about biking even when we do substantial distances.
