Cross-USA Ride to Spokane – June 13-15
On the 47 mile ride to Warden, WA, we’ll be stopping by the Tonnemaker Family Orchard in Royal City, WA. Later that night, we’ll be staying at the Lake Warden Resort and hear a presentation about the Farm Bill from Cross-USA Ride Staff members Garth and Adrienne. An environmental highlight of the area is that half of the country’s french fries come from potatoes grown in central WA!
Thursday, June 14th
This will be our longest cycling day the first week – a 75-mile day to Lake Sprague, WA. We’ll be taking the John Wayne Pioneer Trail in the Iron Horse State Park to our overnight lodgings – the Sprague Lake Resort.
Finally, after a 46-mile day, we’ll be arriving at the first week’s destination – Spokane! We’ll be spending Shabbat with Temple Beth Shalom, and we’d like to thank Rabbi Elizabeth Goldstein for her warm hospitality. We’ll be staying with a number of host families, and will speak at Shabbat morning services on Saturday. We invite supporters, family, and friends to join us as we learn with Rabbi Tamar Malino at 1:30pm.
We’d like to thank our hosts and local partners:
