About Tuv Ha'Aretz

Tuv Ha'Aretz means both "good for the land" and "best of the land."

Tuv Ha'Aretz: Hazon's Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program enables the Jewish community to support local, sustainable agriculture. It is the first Jewish CSA Project in North America, where individuals pre-purchase a share of a farmer’s produce for an entire season. The CSA guarantees the farmer a secure market and gives members access to local, organic produce at competitive prices, while helping to preserve farmland and build community. Members pick up their delicious, fresh produce once a week from their synagogue or JCC for the entire growing season.

Hazon CSAs are a platform for innovative educational and community-building programs that explore the intersection of food and Jewish tradition. Hazon CSAs provides a tangible encounter with organic and sustainable agriculture issues and serves as a catalyst for engaging and revitalizing the Jewish community. Additionally, Hazon CSA leaders participate in a special pre-conference community-building and leadership training program that is held prior to the annual Hazon Food Conference.
