It's More Than A Bike Ride...
New Features for the 2007 Ride include:
- New Sunday Night Location!!! Camp Kinder Ring, in Hopewell Junction, NY, featuring bungalow and dormitory accommodations all with private baths. Sandy beach and swimming pool open for your pleasure. Linens and towels will be provided.
- New Day 2 route, featuring the Westchester Bike Trail.
- New childcare offered on Shabbat
- New “Ride Buddy” system for new Riders and new participants
New extended training program
- New incentive prizes
- New Tent City option for housing at Freedman, with portable showers and toilets
- New crew category for parents and young kids
- New special recognition for B’nai Mitzvah Riders
New Features for the Shabbat Retreat
at the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center:
- Menu featuring organic, mostly local, vegetarian cuisine
- Friday sessions will include: working on the Adamah organic farm, How to be a Green Investor, Cooking Demonstrations, Basic Bicycle Mechanics, Warm up bike ride, Special teen and youth programming, Yoga, Challah Baking
- Shabbat Sessions will include: panel discussions on water conservation and leading a sustainable lifestyle, presentations from past NY Ride Grant Recipients, Yoga
