About the Ride

The Ride is a two-day Shabbat retreat at Camp Kinder Ring followed by a two-day bike ride that brings amazing people together for a relaxing weekend and a fully supported bike ride. Riders raise funds for Hazon and Jewish environmental projects in the United States and Israel.

Weekend Highlights

  • Shabbat retreat at the beautiful Camp Kinder Ring by Sylvan Lake in the Hudson Valley

The Route

On Sunday we will begin at at Camp Kinder Ring, and will ride multiple cycling routes, ranging from 35 to 100 miles, ending our journey at the new eco-camp, Eden Village Camp. On Monday we will enjoy views of the Hudson as we ride towards New York, over the George Washington Bridge and into Manhattan. All our routes are fully supported with rest stops, snacks, medical support and SAG support. On Monday we will ride into New York City.

To participate in the Ride, all attendees participants pay a registration fee and riders and some crew complete a fundraising requirement. Transportation is available for a fee to the retreat center.

Since 2001, Hazon has offered fully supported Jewish Environmental Bike Rides to 1900 participants from across North America, providing outdoor immersion experiences for the whole Jewish community.

The Rides have raised over $1.5 million dollars for Hazon and Jewish environmental organizations and projects in the United States and Israel.
