Chicago Tuv Ha’aretz is a partnership between Anshe Emet Synagogue and Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel Congregation, both located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood on the city’s north side.  The CSA was founded with 64 shareholders in 2008 and is managed by a core drawn from the two shuls, one Conservative and one Modern Orthodox.  Chicago Tuv continues its excellent working relationship this year with Vicki Westerhoff of Genesis Growers, located 70 miles south of Chicago.  “I believe in the tenets of CSA and like knowing the people for whom I grow vegetables and fruits,” she says.
