Timing your travel plans
Registration opens at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 6th. The first session begins at 4:00 pm. The conference ends after lunch at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 9th. Please make appropriate travel plans so you can participate in the entire conference.

Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center is located at 116 Johnson Road, Falls Village, CT, 06031. Free parking is available on site.

Although you are responsible for your transportation to and from the conference, Hazon strongly encourages carpooling! It’s a great way to reduce our collective carbon footprint and an opportunity to meet new people before you’ve even arrived at the Conference.

Train
The closest stop to Isabella Freedman on the Metro North is Wassaic. The train ride takes about two hours and ten minutes. Ticket prices range from $8 to $22 each way, depending on age of passenger and time of travel.
Wassaic is about 30 minutes from the retreat center. Hazon will provide shuttles ($15 each way) from the following trains ONLY:
- Thursday, December 6: 11:48am train from Grand Central arrives at 2:03pm
- Thursday, December 6: 1:48pm train from Grand Central arrives at 4:03pm
- Friday, December 7: 11:48am train from Grand Central arrives at 2:03pm
If you are arriving on any other train you’ll have to make your own arrangements to get to the retreat center. We recommend using our Ride Share Board to find a carpools, or contacting Lakeville Taxi to arrange a pick up (more info below)
For the return trip, we will provide a shuttle to the 2:24 PM train on Sunday, December 9.
You must register and pay for the shuttle in advance. We can’t guarantee we’ll have a spot for you if you don’t reserve ahead of time.
Lakeville Taxi Information
Phone: (860)435-8000. Leave a message to book your ride before 5pm and at least 24 hours before your pick up. Credit card information must be provided with your reservation. Your card will be charged if you cancel a ride with less than 24 hours notice. The trip will cost approximately $40.
Arriving by Plane
If you are flying into the New York area airports, be sure to leave time to catch the train to Wassaic (see above).
You can also fly into the airport in Hartford, CT and take a taxi. It is about an hour away and will cost approximately $100.
