Jewish Life

havdallah singingHazon strives to build a Jewish community that is inclusive and welcomes everyone interested in Jewish life, environment and contemporary food issues.
We welcome those from across the spectrum of Jewish practice and knowledge and from other religious backgrounds. We hope that the Hazon Food Conference can provide a comfortable space for all members of your family – regardless of religious or cultural background – to engage with Jewish culture and food issues!

We invite you to celebrate a meaningful Shabbat with the entire Food Conference community.

We do our best to offer a variety of ways to connect with Jewish ritual and traditions for our diverse participants.  Spending Shabbat together at the Food Conference offers the opportunity for rest and reflection with a diverse, pluralistic community. Throughout the conference we will celebrate Jewish tradition in a warm and inclusive environment with prayer, candle lighting, singing, exploring the surrounding beauty, yoga and delicious communal meals. During Shabbat, conference sessions also continue with interesting speakers and presentations during the day.

Whether you’ve never celebrated Shabbat or you observe it every week, there’s a place for you to experience the beauty and wonder of this Day of Rest.
