Power of One: Honoring Jewish Women

The Power of One, presented by Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco’ s Women’s Philanthropy, is “a celebration of Jewish women who inspire us to make a difference in the world.” Deborah Newbrun, Bay Area Director of Hazon, speaks in this video series featuring Bay Area and Israeli change-makers. A Successful Bike to the Beach in San Francisco [Photos]

Hazon hosted the first ever Bay Area Bike to the Beach this past Sunday, January 29th. There were groups of riders that rode from four starting locations around the Bay Area and converged at Ocean Beach. There were 40+ participants who participated ranging from age 10 to 60.

It was a beautiful day with great urban cycling and culminated with a vegetarian, organic lunch and celebration at the ocean. Watch the slideshow below! (more…)
